Fremont East District Lighting & Dedication Party08.24.07
More than a thousand onlookers watched as Mayor Oscar Goodman flipped the switch that illuminated Fremont East. Though the heat and maybe one too many martinis briefly threatened the festivities, Mayor Goodman quickly rebounded and lit up Oscar´s Martini, the signature neon sign that graces the Fremont East Entertainment District to cheers. Downtown VIPs joined Streamline´s Dusty Allen in his high-rise hospitality tent to hear the evenings myriad speeches, which were mostly drowned out by the overly chatty crowd.
United Block Party08.28.07
The fashion-forward United Trade Show took over Fremont East for its first-ever United Block Party, featuring pop-up retail boutiques, art exhibitions and DJ Green Lantern. The festivities inside Beauty Bar, The Griffin and Downtown Cocktail Room spilled out onto the street as stylish attendees popped into the United boutiques and fine art gallery, featuring The Graffiti Splinters and a group show featuring works based on The Beatles White Album.
